the antique

As technology advances and people become technology savvy, the film camera's life is somehow, coming to an end. The ratio among camera's owners is only about 1:3.

No doubt the digital camera these days have all the necessary high quality pixels and extremely huge screen display, it somehow takes away all the fun and anticipation in photoshoot. The large screen digital display means we can view photos instantly, making it hassle free and not wasting precious film shots. And the storage capacity also means we can easily store up to 300+ photos while on the move. Talking about anticipation, I refer to the entire process of taking, developing and viewing with the "antique" camera. Remember when we are still using those cameras, we are always excited to see how each photo turn out. Ask ourselves, many times when we travel overseas with a digital cam, who would really bother to develop these photos out? For me, after travelling twice this year, I didn't even bother to develop and keep them inside the dust collecting photo album. Simply because, its just too convenient to push the power button on my laptop and start viewing.

And as I flipped through the pages on my album, I start to find, I've missed collecting those precious memories, somehow it just stopped, and the album never ever increase again...
